These addition to the Legends of Norrath packs will be retro-active to the launch of the game. Therefore, these cards will be added to the collection of every person that opened a pack that would have contained these loot cards had they been included as part of the initial assortment. If you opened a pack that would have received one of the cards, it will be automatically granted to your LoN account.

After claiming my LoN cards I’ve also noticed the following at my SOE Account subscriptions:

Claiming the cards generates a 99 month non-recurring “pending” subscription to “Norrath Casual Strategy Game”.

Interesting to know is that the two promocards — despite the fact that the cardnumbers are 1P1 and 1P2 — are named #3 and #5 in the subscription details, I wonder where #1, #2 and #4 are hiding :-) :

EDIT 2007-10-01: The Promo weekend is over now. Overall I did not have the feeling that droprates for boosters or even the promo cards got significantly increased — it seemed as low as always. I’ve never hat a LoN ingame drop before so it is 0% chance for me against 0% chance whilst in the promo weekend. According to the broker on my server there must have been quite some promo drops as they are still on sale for a few platin. Even while I already grabbed 4 of each card I might go for a buyout on the broker. You never know if there could be a use for some surplus promo cards someday.

Actually the first tournament should have been completed last weekend, but servers kept crashing with 1000+ players in the tournament queue. This time it was more or less unannounced and only about 350 players took the opportunity to attend.

This tournament rewarded 3 booster packs to the first 5 ranks and had no entry fee. It was a constructed best of 8 with chessclock timed matches set at 30 minutes max (15 minutes for each player per match). Winners earned 3 points while the loser still got 1 point for the tournament ladder.

If you’re interested in joining into the Legends of Norrath beta please send an email with the subject LON to eq2beta@station.sony.com , and that email should only contain just your account name.

When you’re sending in account names, please make sure that the subject is LON and the email body simply contains an account name, with no other text or it won’t be processed.

These scenarios are divided into 3 chapters and you need to progress through them — some scenarios are marked optional and may be skipped.

After struggeling with all the rulesets — my native language is german and not english — I managed to get quite addiced to the CCG itself.

I finished 2 of the 3 chapters and and approached the end of chapter 3 (see screenshot). One might skip all the storyline that is included with each scenario but please give it a try and read it.

Update: Wow scenario 14 is tough. My opponent quickly takes away my heros with his +3 damage bonus item and I don’t know how to get rid of that. Anyone with some hints?
